Dr. Adeel Alvi is a medical graduate of King Edward Medical College and a Master's in healthcare quality Improvement and Leadership Development (2006-08) from University of Helsinki, Finland. He acquired and facilitated multiple trainings on public health. Since then, he is working with Contech International and currently holds the position of Program Manager of Health Policy, Advocacy, and Communication. 

He has around 15 years of professional experience managing primary surveys, assessments, and third-party evaluations funded by Research and Advocacy Fund, UNFPA and UNICEF. He remained a core team member for development of Punjab Health Sector Strategy (2012-20). He holds riche experience of health systems strengthening and Global Health Security Agenda, particularly the implementation of Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response System (IDSR). He has assisted in designing and implementation of USAID funded projects (Integrated Health System Strengthening and Service Delivery (IHSS-SD) Activity; Pakistan Health System Strengthening Component of USAID’ MCH Program (HSSC). He has worked in nation-wide health facility assessments (HFA) survey, as well as in health facility assessment surveys at Punjab and Sindh. 

Worked as Project Manager for various health policy and advocacy projects, including Advocacy for Population & National Advancement (APNA) Pakistan campaign funded by UNFPA. Also managed baseline survey to assess the knowledge, attitude and practices of private health care providers on TB DOTS in 20 districts funded by Mercy Corps. Also represents Contech at multiple national and international platforms. He is a part of technical team, involved in development, pilot-testing and refinement of Health Alert® - a smartphone application for disease surveillance.
