Mariam Zahid Malik is a young research professional who completed her Master's in Public Health from the University of Liverpool UK. She is a graduate of Kinnaird College and completed her Master's in Computer Science. She has been associated with Contech since 2001. She started her career as Data Resource Manager where she managed and analyzed large survey data for tabulation, presentation, and storage. She has gone through several trainings on research proposal development and has also successfully accomplished Small Scale Research Grant for Reproductive Health by the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute at Johns Hopkins University.  

She has led the Business Development Section within Contech and worked as Business Development Manager, while currently, she is heading the Technical & Administrative Support Unit (TANSU) within the organization as Manager TANSU. Her responsibilities include the development of research proposals and concept writing for funding, report writing, and management of consultants and databases. She is responsible for the orientation and overall coordination of consultants and clients. She is also responsible to maintain a continuous liaison with clients/funding agencies/donors to address their queries. She represents Contech at various forums, seminars, and meetings. Also worked as Senior Public Health Expert for USAID’s Integrated Health System Strengthening & Service Delivery (IHSS-SD) project. She has also worked as Public Health Consultant for ‘Evaluation of RED/REC Strategy Pakistan’ funded by UNICEF.
